My first half marathon

And so here we have it. My first half marathon ever! I have been training for it using a Garmin Coach training plan and was supposed to have completed the run last weekend. However, the weather was so foul that it delayed the event and ran it today.

The run did not go without incident though. I tripped and fell about 9km into the run and cut up my hand, elbow and hurt my ribs. At first, I was winded and in some pain but realised I had no choice other than to carry on as I needed to get home! I have to say, the last few km were a bit of a struggle, but I am pleased that I carried on and finished it.
