Step Down Intervals
The main work here is a long descending ladder that starts out above threshold and steps down in progressively longer intervals. A nice intro to week 2
Low Cadence Intervals
An so, another round of low cadence intervals. I struggled with these during prep week but got on ok with them today.
The Long Ride
This ride or this week’s long ride, we take on sustained tempo work. 1 hour on the turbo = 2-3 hours on the road – Even on a flat ride, 10% of the time on the road is spent freewheeling. On a hilly ride when you add in descending time, it can be up to 40%! Turbo training is harder because there’s nowhere to hide.
Endurance Free Ride
Nice to get a break from the structured during at the end of each block of training. I am going to use this to measure my progress.
