After 42 years there is once again a British team in the Tour de France. Team Sky has been named among the 22 teams that will compete in this year’s race. Let’s hope this sees them as on their way to winning the Tour by 2015. Or maybe Bradley Wiggins will do it this year?
Sixteen teams, including defending champion Alberto Contador’s Astana, were assured of a place in the Tour, which begins on 3 July in Rotterdam, under a 2008-2010 agreement.
